Published books
2021. The Culutral Memory of Georgian Glasgow is my first book. It is an academic monograph, adapted from my PhD thesis. You can find it here. I’ve also recorded a podcast on the book, here, not long after the book was published. I also recorded a short lecture for The Hunterian on the topic of Georgian Glasgow.
2022. 1820, Scottish Rebellion: Essays on a Nineteenth-Century Insurrection. This is a co-edited book of essays in which I write about the commemoration of the 1820 rising in Scotland. You can find it here.
2023/2024. Haste Ye Back by Dorothy K. Haynes. I edited this fine memoir by a long-neglected great of Scottish literature. It is now available in a new modern edition with an introduction and other new material, here.
2024. The Weird Tales of Dorothy K. Haynes. Following Haste Ye Back, I was approached to edit a new collection of Haynes’s horror stories for the British Library. You can see more info about the book here. And here is a video review by Tromso Twilight.
